Morrigan Crow has been cursed her entire life. So she's obviously a little confused when a complete stranger shows up on the day she's destined to die, rescues her in a most peculiar fashion, brings her to the strange city of Nevermoor, her new home she's never heard of before, and then tells her she's not actually cursed. Just as Morrigan settles in to her new life, she figures out it might be uprooted. If she fails to get into the secretive Wunderous Society she will have to go back where she came from and face death again. Meanwhile, strange things are happening, horrible things, impossible things, that some suspect might be the work of the most evil person ever to live, the Wundersmith.
This book is funny, engaging, suspenseful, and all in all, amazing. It's a good book for people who like Harry Potter, but still has its own unique plot, world, and characters.
